Happy 4th of July Weekend!
It’s been far too long since I have shared a party favor craft – so here we go – check out this super fun Mini Pizza Box / Large Cookie Die project.
The Sizzix / Where Women Create contest closed yesterday and I was so tickled to hear from Jo Packham that my boxes had made their way to Where Women Create HQ!!! Photos of all contest entries will be posted by the end of next week on the Sizzix / Where Women Create contest website. Go check it out for inspiration, and you may still be able to get the template download too!
I love the 4th of July – what a great day – CELEBRATING AMERICA! My Cookie Box Party Favor is so fun, easy to assemble and only required a few supplies:

Cookie Box Party Favor: DIY Directions
Step 1: Run the Mini Pizza Box die through the Big Shot with cutting pads. TIP: If your paper has a pattern (mine had words) be sure to have it oriented correctly so the top of the box will look awesome once the paper is cut.
Step 2: Fold your paper carefully to create you box and I used a bone folder to fold the side of the box down.
Step 3: Glue the box together on the small tabs sides with some hot glue or Aleene’s Turbo Tacky glue. TIP: You can use a clothespin to hold the box together while the tacky glue dries.
Step 4: Cut a small piece of paper to line the box. I cut the paper to 3.5 by 3.5 inches and then had a super cute liner for my cookie!
Step 5: Go to your cookie shop and fill your cookie box(es)!!!Something Sweet by Serina in Downtown Riverside, California
I was so excited to get these yummy cookies from Something Sweet by Serina in Downtown Riverside. Follow them on Facebook for updates on new flavors – this summer they are featuring a Pineapple Delight Cupcake and a Twix Cupcake. The flavor of the cookies features is Strawberry Lemonade and they are perfect for summer parties, for yourself or a sweet treat for a friend! I’m also happy to say that I am going to do my best to share more about Riverside in upcoming blog posts. There is so much goodness in this city and I I love to share my recommendations! It will be called “Rina’s Riverside” and I’ll note my favorite recommendations from different busineses. From Something Sweet by Serina, these are my recommendations:
- Lemon cupcake with Lemon Cream Cheese Frosting
- Peanut Butter and Jelly Cupcake
- Pumpkin Cookies
- My handmade cards! My cards are there and now we have some mini-cards too – look for them to the left of the cookies 🙂
