I am happy to be sharing a couple of gift ideas for Father’s Day. As you know, I am a fan of personalized stationery – and Expressionery.com is a great place to get personalized stationery, self-inking stamps, notebooks and much more!
What I like most about Expressionery.com is that they offer a customized product for an affordable price. If you join their e-mail list you get a weekly e-mail that includes gift ideas and discount offers too.
Here are the Father’s Day items that I am sharing ideas for today:
- Banner Custom Stamp: $45 (Retail)
- Me & My Peeps Large Notepad: $19.50 (Retail)
BANNER CUSTOM STAMP – SIMPLE DIY TAG
For this Father’s Day Gift Idea, I used the following supplies:
- Banner Custom Stamp
- Large/Blank White Gift Tag
- Glassine Bag
- Jute twine
- Stapler
- Aleene’s Turbo Tacky Glue
- Color pencils in shades of blue
- Chocolates to fill the bag
Step 1: Create the tag by stamping the Banner Custom Stamp onto a blank white gift tag. Once the ink has dried, take your color pencils and color in the banner portion. I used 3 different colors of blue pencils to create an ombre look.
Step 2: Fill your glassine bag with chocolates – if your dad likes almonds, cashews or any other yummy treat – you can always change it up. I would just caution that if the product is oily that you may want to put it into a plastic bag before you put it in the glassine bag to avoid oil spots.
Step 3: Once your bag is filled up, you can staple your tag onto your bag and then add your twine ribbon on top of the tag with a small dot of white glue.
This idea is inspired by a custom project that I was hired for a few years back – it is based on the idea that memories are precious and should be recorded. Expressionery.com really encourages handwritten correspondence – and so do I! For this custom order, my customer had asked his sons to write letters to him for his birthdays and Christmas, and after several years he had these letters and he wanted to preserve them in a way that he could enjoy them. He hired me to create a scrapbook that would store the letters. When I finished the project, he was very happy with my custom work. It was a very special scrapbook filled with so many good memories.
I am going to start sharing these types of memories with my own dad. My dad is awesome – he is a great dad, husband and now a wonderful “Abuelo” (grandpa in Spanish) to my niece and nephew. I wrote down a cool memory that I had with my dad for a school field trip on the Me & My Peeps Large Notepad (woot woot – designed by my fabulous friend – Laura Kelly!). The awesome feature about the Me & My Peeps line on Expressionery.com is that it is extremely personalized – you can select the look of your character including the skin tone, hair and accessories. I picked out the Teacher Peep for my awesome Dad. He is still teaching in retirement, he is such a hard worker. My mom often says I am just like my dad – we never stop working on projects!
I can’t wait to write down more happy memories and share them with my Dad for Father’s Day. These messages are special because they are handwritten and from my heart. I hope you have a wonderful time shopping for your Dad and check out Expressionery.com for some awesome gift items for your Dad, family and friends. Below is a close up of the notepad – it is top quality paper and really cool to see the personalized Me & My Peep character that I created. Thank you for visiting my blog, I hope I helped inspire you with a couple of fun Father’s Day ideas.
Have a wonderful week ahead!
Miss Rina
