For February, the Eileen Hull Inspiration Team is taking it back to basics. We are making “Clean and Simple” Projects this month. I upcycled some glass jars for my project. Here are my craft supplies:
- Bright white card stock
- Sizzix Big Shot
- Doily Lace Medallion (Item #657375) die by Eileen Hull Designs for Sizzix, click here to see product.
- Glass jars (save those jars from spaghetti and salsa – save some money too!)
- Aleene’s Instant Tacky Adhesive Dots, click here to see product.
Step 1: Die cut your card stock with using the Doily Lace Medallion die with the Sizzix Big Shot. I would recommend that for this die – that you start with only cutting 2 pieces of card stock and make sure you are close to a trash can to be able to dump the small die cut pieces that will fall out.
Step 2: You can adhere your die cuts using adhesive dots. I recommend you try the Aleene’s Instant Tacky Adhesive Dots, here is the link for them on Amazon.com: http://amzn.com/B00WWTXCPW
Step 3: Once have you have your die cuts adhered to the glass jars, you can add colorful twine – and you can either tie a bow or a knot. I did both for my project.
TIP: You can easily change out the colors of both the card stock and the twine for this project! This would an easy and inexpensive way to make vases for party table decor, a gift for a co-worker or teacher, or get well flowers. You could also fill the jars with candy, colorful shred or pencils.
