I am very excited to be participating in the 2015 Popcorn Box Party with Laura Kelly Designs and her amazing craft sponsors! This year, I decided to make my popcorn box with a Halloween theme – but don’t worry… it’s not too SPOOKY!
Here is my craft supplies list:
- Popcorn Box from World Market
- Scotch 3M duct tapes in Orange and Black
- Black and White Polka Dot Ribbon
- Scotch 3M Cutting Knife
- Adornit Scrapbook Papers and coordinating Alphabet Stickers
- Halloween Punches (bat and pumpkin)
Step 1: Stick strips of Scotch 3M duct tape down on each side of the popcorn box and cut trim down your tape strips with either scissors or a cutting knife. NOTE: The washi tape is not as thick as the duct tape, so I used duck tape – it also has a glossy surface which I thought was cool for my halloween theme.
Step 2: Slice box to have slits to place the ribbon through. Think of it like a belt loop and please be careful when you use your craft knife – they are sharp!
Step 3: Slide your ribbon through thin belt like loops and tie it at the ends.
Step 4: Punch out pieces of halloween shapes using the Adornit scrapbook papers and adhere to outside of box with foam dots to give your box some additional depth. I then used the Adornit Alphabets to put “Boo” and “Trick or Treat” on my punched shapes.Step 5: Fill with fun goodies! These are great for parties, co-workers and BFFs. You can create so many creative themes such as: Halloween Treats, Pumpkin Flavored items, Emergency Craft Kit (see my “Crafty Fry Box” post for ideas of a mini craft kit), teacher thank you, Nail Kit (polish and hand lotion)….there are endless possibilities. I hope you have time to enjoy the Popcorn Box Party and also enter the Rafflecopter Giveaway.Special Thanks to Popcorn Blog Hop Sponsors:
