Wow! It’s the week of HALLOWEEN and fall weather is definitely here to stay. I am so thrilled to be part of the 2014 Popcorn Box Blog Hop! There is are an amazing group of bloggers that put their crafty mojo to work on “crafting up” a fun Popcorn Box and the possibilities do show that creativity abounds!
Here is my supplies list for my Popcorn Box that I call my “Fall Hoot” Popcorn Box:
Felt embellishments (got mine at Target)
Burlap (small piece)
Hot glue gun & glue sticks
Aleene’s Turbo Tacky Glue
Tape runner adhesive
Step 1: SCRAPBOOK PAPERS: Begin by tracing your box onto scrapbook papers of your choice to create the background for your box.
Step 2: HOT GLUE YOUR BURLAP: Next, take a small piece of burlap and fold it and secure it by using hot glue.
Step 3: EMBELLISH: Embellish the box with felt embellishments (or any kind of 3D stickers are great!)
Step 4: RIBBONS: Add more texture by including ribbon, twine or rick rack at the top portion of the box.
Step 5: BUTTONS: Because I love buttons I added them by using Aleene’s Turbo Tacky Glue by I Love to Create to the burlap portion of the box.
This craft project is fun and allowed me to use several fall “scraps” that were on my table. I love that it ended up coordinating with my latest favorite popcorn mix – cheddar and caramel – YUM!!!
Have fun and enjoy the 2014 Popcorn Box Blog Hop. I hope you are inspired and will enter the fun Giveaway that Laura Kelly Designs has coordinated for the #PopcornBlogHop14. Be sure to use this hashtag if you create a Popcorn Box too!
Happy Fall & Halloween!
