Yesterday I was in Orange County and had the time to finally make it over to the Costa Mesa Scrapbooking Store – Oh Scrap! It was a bit of a search to find it but once I got close the word “SCRAPBOOKING!” on the window front called out to me.
The selection is great, they have a lot of travel stickers and embellishments. They also have unique lines such as a Wizard of Oz, USC, UCLA and local beach high school papers and die cuts. I found a lot of great Bo Bunny papers in the sale bin, score!
I got a chance to speak with the owner, Jennifer Luckey, and she informed me that the store has been open for 3 1/2 years. I was impressed because I know that over those years countless numbers of scrapbook stores have closed shop. She also let me know that she does have crop days and special events at the store. In particular, she will be hosting a class taught by Scrapbooker Teresa Collins in the near future (there is a fee for the class/materials).
So, I would recommend that anyone wanting to scope out a chic scrapbook store check this place it. You will not be disappointed.
